Simple Vision Technology has created software for the machine vision industry. The software acts as the HMI and multiple images can be displayed in a single window, that is configurable. The single interface that remain the same no matter what the application requires. Every system has simple and convenient interface for creating a project, establishing industrial communications, setting up cameras and storing images. Standard features include online changes, continuous logging of data for any changes made in the software. Multilingual support with the click of a button. Password protection and user configuration is implemented for better tracking and more security. 

Not every application requires Vision and AI algorithms, some applications only need to read multiple barcodes. Having the different functioning licenses will allow for the price of the software to match the application.  

Simple Vision Technology - Engineering Suite - ID (SVT-ES-ID)

What is included: 

• SVT-ES-ID software will be delivered on a security dongle that must be inserted to the computers USB port for the software to operate. This license will only allow barcode reading. 

• Each system is allowed to have up to 25 jobs, each job can read up to 25 barcodes.

• Each job can source an image from a camera or a file folder(networked or local). 

• Each barcode has its own properties and parameters for easy visualization when the system is in production.

• Multiple linear barcodes and 2D data codes are available for decoding.

• Online parameter changes are allowed. Switching Offline or Online only affects the camera trigger.

• Industrial Communications are included and setup directly in the software. PLC Tag browsing is simple. 

• Every parameter change is captured in a logbook with a timestamp and current user who made changes.

• Each job function is specified by a template which will limit the parameters available for each job. Through the use of templates easy deployment for new and existing jobs can be simply managed.

Not every application requires AI algorithms, some applications need only vision inspections like pattern matching, blob tools, calibration, measuring, hysteresis and many other standard tools for gauging and guidance. This license will allow templates to work with both barcode and inspection tools. It is possible to read codes and intermix those actions with vision inspections. Linking features is also possible. a mixture of barcode reading and vision inspections, but no AI. Having the different functioning licenses will allow for the price of the software to match the application requirements.

• Online parameter changes are allowed. Switching Offline or Online only affects the camera trigger.

• Industrial Communications are included and setup directly in the software. PLC Tag browsing is simple.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is providing machine vision solutions where traditional vision tools are not likely going to work. Some applications like finding ghost parts or surface defect are very hard to accomplish with standard contrast based vision algorithms. Instead, images can be labeled or classified in a particular group and then a neural network can be trained which provides the intelligence for the machine vision application. Couple this together with ID barcode reading and additional measuring tools, now you have the most powerful vision system available. This license will allow templates to work with all three vision methods:  barcode, inspection tools and AI. It is possible to read codes and intermix those actions with vision inspections and then compare the image to a trained network for further validation. Linking features is also possible. Industrial computers (IPC or Industrial PC) which operate Windows 10 and higher are used for installation and operation of the SVT software. Images are processed centrally in the industrial PC and results are distributed from this IPC to industrial controllers when used in manufacturing environments, but you are not limited to industrial communications. Since state of the art communications technology is used, we are able to communicate to ProfiNet, EtherNet/IP, MQTT, AWS and many more standard protocols.  Images can be acquired from many sources including cameras and/or file folders located on the IPC or in a remote file folder that is located on an accessible network device. Cameras - Image acquisition can be completed with many different types of devices. Simple Vision Technology utilizes standard communication protocols to interface with any camera that supports GigE and USB3 interfaces. Images can also be accessed from file folders. While we promote standard, globally available, industrial cameras, we support any camera using these protocols. It might be possible to use existing cameras. The rapid advancement in imaging technology is one of the core reasons we are hardware agnostic and continue to expand and utilize multiple devices for image acquisition. Lenses are used to make sure the parts or product are completely in the field of view of the selected camera for the application. Most industrial PC's have a maximum of 6 ethernet ports. Every camera connected has a dedicated ethernet connection. The ethernet cable also provides power to the cameras via power over ethernet (PoE). Simple Vision Technology - Engineering Suite software allows for the use of up to 25 cameras. Network switches are utilized to effectively deliver images from the camera to the IPC. Lens filters help cameras acquire repeatable images. It is best to find what color light the system will use and then apply a filter that only allows that same color to enter the imager. This will reduce image inconsistency as surrounding ambient light might change. Example: Using a red light should also utilize a red filter. Mounting devices, brackets and camera enclosures are used to secure the camera in a fixed position. It is important for image acquisition devices to be rigidly mounted and relatively steady for best image result. It is also important to keep cameras and lenses clean, dry, or free from debris.
